Gaze

Gaze is a packaging project based on the female gaze and its representation in art history. I wanted to highlight female artists and works that intrinsically represented the female gaze and pair it with soft drinks which represent consumer culture. Women, in general, are often treated as commodities and something to be “ogled at”, similar to how one might view a product. In addition, I wanted to include a campaign element to draw people into the special exhibition. The idea is that the MET could bring these works and soda cans to the street where people could catch a glimpse of the exhibition as well as get into the met for free with a soda can.
